My devotional is for healthcare providers and those who care for others. Whether we are healthcare providers or not, statistically we become a care giver at some point. Whether that is for a parent, spouse, child or even a friend. To be a caregiver is Holy work and it is hard work. There will be many weapons formed against you but God. God will get you through the darkest times we just have to Look Up. Look up is the framework for the devotional. It was born out of our home where I would use this to help my kids navigate the challenges of high school, college and now marriage. If you can’t do anything at least look up. That is where the beauty is. That is where God’s outstretched hand is.

I have wanted to write a devotional for over 20 years. My song Look Up and this desire finally collided. The devotional is raw and real from my own experiences and family challenges through From the Heart and Mic Drop moments. The one central launching event being my father’s hemorrhagic stroke in 2018. It’s when the lesson of health literacy and the impact of stress became centric to my career and personal experience.
